B O O K S: 2020

Beautiful descriptions of the Carolina marsh. Strange story.

Riveting. I couldn't put this short book down and read until late at night. Renews faith in mankind.

I read part of this for a Makers & Mystics Book Club. I never finished it, and need to dig back in.

This one is going to stick with me for awhile. The freedom that Gilbert contains bursts through her writing.
I read this on a plane to St. Croix, and found myself laughing out loud at her hilarity and pausing often to ponder the profound truths she offered me.

DiAngelo writes with a condescending tone. But her perspective is eye-opening, though controversial.

An honest memoir. Sometimes profane. Incredibly intelligent. Bold and compelling.

Haunting, beautifully captivating, other-worldly while also relatable.
